Philippines is where…
1. Starbucks is more expensive than gas.
2. Every street has a basketball court but many towns just have one school.
3. Students pay more than they’ll learn.
4. Doctors go back to school to be nurses.
5. Everything is spoofed!
6. Fastfood is a diet meal.
7. Rodents are normal house pets.
8. Beer, cigarets and cell phone load are necesity, lotto is a commodity
9. Soap opera is reality, news provide the dramas.
10. Actors make the rules and politicians provide the entertainment

‘…People in the Philippines drunk their own pee to survive. Under the ruins of that hotel in Baguio. Popular hotel for coffee and business. It was the biggest earth quake there. In the recent past. I believed in Santa Claus from that hotel. I was sitting on his lap. It’s so clear and vivid in my mind. And then a few years later… earthquake. And I thought Santa Claus died.’
